At the moment, RWB Water is realizing a complete installation for the processing of digestate from a biogas installation.

Digestate is fermented manure and is a residual flow in the production of biogas. Digestate consists of water, organisms and minerals. RWB has designed a processing plant to recover these valuable minerals and to make water that can be discharged.

Unique within the RWB concept of manure processing is the extra filter step with ceramic membranes. This leads to a more efficient reverse osmosis process as the last purification step in the chain. The use of ceramic membranes ensures a maximum volume in discharging water.

The system consumes considerably less energy (<25kW/m3) than traditional systems (UF + RO), the maintenance of the installation is much easier and the system is less susceptible to malfunctions.
